The Mirror Doesn’t Blink

The calculator didn’t kill math.

It just changed what we thought was worth solving.

Now the machines can write, paint, code, compose, even pretend to feel.

AI is very good at being fast.
But it’s still bad at being wrong with grace.

It doesn’t ache.
It doesn’t wonder.
It doesn’t tell a joke to defuse the tension in the room because it feels the tension.

Being human was never about outperforming the machine.
It was about noticing.
Caring.
Choosing the harder path because it meant something.

You can’t outsource meaning.
Even if it shows up in your inbox sounding like you.

If AI is the mirror, the question isn’t how smart it gets.
It’s what we see when we look into it.
